The Colorado State Fair Foundation Outstanding Service Award recognizes the exceptional leadership of an individual  or organization in providing, promoting, or advocating for Colorado Youth.

Award Criteria:


  • The nominee's work must fall within the Foundation's mission to enhance youth programming, education & experiences at the Colorado State Fair.


  • The nominee's efforts should reflect a generosity of spirit and the highest quality work.


  • The nominee's contributions to the Foundation must be evident and verifiable.


​Nominations must be in writing and may be supported by letters and other documentation. All submitted materials become property of the Colorado State Fair Foundation. The Colorado State Fair Selection Committee will select the award recipient. All nominees will be notified of the results in writing. Award recipients will be notified in advance and recognized at the Foundation's fall fundraiser, The Sip.

Award Categories:

  • Contributor or Individual - Recognizes an individual that has made meaningful contributions or advocates to advance the mission of the Foundation.


  • Volunteer - Recognizes an individual or couple for exemplary volunteerism through one or multiple acts that have positively impacted the Foundation.


  • State Fair/Colorado Dept. of Agriculture Employee - Recognizes an employee for their role in supporting the mission of the Foundation.


  • Youth - Recognizes a young person or youth organization actively involved in promoting the Foundation's mission.


Award Winners Will Receive:


  • A plaque commemorating their accomplishment.


  • Reserved table for award winner and two (2) guests at the Foundation Fall Fundraising Event, The Sip.


  • 1 hotel room.


  • Name on a plaque to be displayed at the Colorado State Fair Foundation Membership Club House.


What to Submit:


  • Cover letter detailing the accomplishments of the nominee.


  • Resume or biography of the nominee.


  • 2 letters of recommendation.


  • 1 high-resolution photo or digital copy of the nominee.


Completed nomination form must be received on or before September 18, 2020. Gather letters and documents to support the nomination. Submit nomination materials electronically to director@coloradostatefairfoundation.org or by mail to:

Since 2012, the Colorado State Fair Foundation (CSFF) has been busy building programs for youth as well as raising capital for renovation projects throughout the state fairgrounds. The CSFF has completed over $500,000 in capital renovation projects, including the Growing Minds and FFA dormitories and Livestock Pavillion. The CSFF has raised more than $1,400,000 in the past 7 years to support youth programs and more specifically youth involved in 4-H and FFA.


​The Foundation's Outstanding Service Award Selection Committee calls for nominations that recognize outstanding service made to further our mission to enhance youth programming, education and experiences at the Colorado State Fair.
